monday post

howdy all! ok, so i plodded 855 steps today. not a lot, but i assure you that there will be more toms!
i'd better get things clear first - yesterday, i only got to be online for 30 mins, coz mum and dad ordered bed for me after aunty yvonne came to drag me up and down the hallway, as well as up and down the stairs. and since last night was UF finale, i didn't get my remaining 90 mins online either, when i got home. add that to the meagre 120 mins i'm allowed to be on each day, and i'm owed 210 mins. i'm not sure if mum will let me sit the 210 mins out, so i'll calculate it and note it down in my blog tonight, if need be. oh, and i popped online at 2:05pm. so, let's start with last night, ok?
i obediently napped until the storm had well and truly passed and aunty yvonne took her leave. i managed to wake up to say my thanks and byes as she left, then mum got me up, let me use the pot once :P slapped my splint and shoes back on, then Forced me to walk out to the car. dearest daddy tumbled in as well, and we tootled off to church, listening to westlife's old hits. parents Forced me to walk inside once we arrived, and with the help of julz and janice, they Forced me up the stairs as well. i plonked my bum on a seat, mum eye glopped me, then she and dad rocked off for the evening. we started off with a game first: we had to split everyone up into a body part - eyes, nose, mouth, arms and legs. then it was a time trial to do the required activities. i chose to be a mouth - meaning i got to eat the banana! i instructed sam, an arm, that he'd better choose me a nice banana and put it in my mouth, not up my nose, or anything :P actually, there was another sam on friday night too, a new sam. i think he was indian (well, he was indian-coloured :P) and he worked with our sam at david jones. we also played "don't forget the lyrics", with christian music, of course (duh, what else would you expect? :P)then, dinnertime! thanks to pole plop and janice who helped me hobble/limp over to a seat, then either one went to fetch me some food. which reminds me, i must remember to send chloe an email and ask her to thank her parents for me, for the yummy dinner they whipped us for us! there was spaghetti in tomato sauce with chicken and ham strips, and some soya sauce coloured ones. oh, and some fried rice too. then, thanks to dr. lee and kwany who helped hold my plate so i could eat. oh, and i also nabbed some corn chips from kwany too. :P he's got one older brother, working in HK, or overseas, and one younger bro. that was all flushed down with a cup of fruit juice/cordial. dinner all gobbled up, i asked becki to fetch pole plop for me, and she and janice helped me to go to the loo once. they helped me walk back out to take a seat, then the night began in earnest. singing first(thanks to mel mel who helped me to stand), then a quick game where each commitee member brought a piece of show'n'tell, and we had to guess which item belonged to each member. so: mel mel brought a big envelope with all these letters important to her (the sweetest one was a letter from peter pie encouraging her in her exams), dora brought a photo album of her japan trip, leanne brought a book her 2 or 3 closest high school friends had made her in year 12, dr. lee brought this cute little heart-shaped soft toy that he still keeps by the head of his bed (it was a gift from his grandma) and wells brought a broken umbrella. then, leanne did some sharing, of how the committee approached her and invited her to join them, etc. then, cake time! someone (dora, i think it was) had brought in a chocolate cake with icing. so someone lit them, we sang happy bday (to UF, and i did the hip hips, of course :P) then thanks again to mel mel who helped me hobble over there so i could join in the happy snapping. (of course, i admit, i couldn't resist and did the rabbit ears on poor sam :P) dear mel mel helped me hold the plate so i could gobble away, and PIG mum soon came to pick me up afterwards. she Forced me to walk down the stairs; dear dad met us and off we rocked home, still listening to westlife's old hits. i think i'm starting to really like the song "mandy". once home, PIG mum Forced me to walk into the bathroom; thanks to dear dad who got me half a glass of milk. i brushed my teeth, it goes without saying that PIG mum forced my left hand to hold the cup for the initial pre-brush rinse and the three after-brush rinses before my poor right hand gets a go. and, of course, i must remember to say, "now, it's my RIGHT hand's turn" not, "now, it's MY turn' else PIGmum goes crook at me. so, she then Forced me to walk over and dry both hands, b4 she Forces me to walk to the loo. after forcing me to yank my daks down, i sit for a tinkle and PIG mum goes to tidy my room up. when she comes back in, she forces me to pull my daks back up again (actually, more often than not, after my right hand has done a good job, she forces my left hand to practise as well, about 10-20x. oh well. not really too much of a biggie. )so, then she Forces me to walk the few steps over to wash and dry my right hand, b4 she Forces me to walk back to bed. and for some reason, she still refuses me pull-up pants. i know that there are still some in the cupboard, i've seen. oh well, good nite.:P
mon: well, i was dug up fairly early this morning. PIG mum got me kitted, then happily Forced me to walk out to the gobbling table :P i spat out my mouth splint, drank the required cup of water, and had a yummy sausage bun for breakfast, along with a plain glass of milk. after i finished, PIG mum Forced me to walk to the car, where off to the hydrotherapy place we tootled, dad leading the way. i was gratefully switched back to sparkless once we got here, and after making ourselves known, i went to the bathroom once. dear dad kissed us goodbye, and rocked off to work. we started off with a chat with ann/anne mcdonald, then she moved my left arm and leg around a bit. she then wanted to see me hobble/limp a bit, so PIG mum happily dragged me up and i obediently plodded a few steps. i also flopped on the bed and did some bum lifts for ann/anne. b4 we left, ann/anne showed PIG mum and i the heated pool, to which i remarked, "uhh, ann/anne, is there like a drought or sth in your pool? it looks as if the water wouldn't even reach my heels! " :P then, mum made me an appointment - this thurs or fri, i think, at 10am. we said our thanks and byes, and tootled home. PIG mum Forced me to walk into the bathroom upon arrival, coz i said i needed to pee. she forced me to yank my daks down, then she forced me to yank them back up afterwards. then, she Forced me to walk the few steps over to wash and dry my right hand, b4 she Forced me to walk back to the sofa, where she flipped on the TV for me, and put in the tape of 'this is your life' for me. adam gilchrist was the man of honour this time - and how cool is this? he has the same bday as prince charles! aunty wendy arrived, so mum switched me back to sparky and rocked off to socialise with aunty catherine (aka 'ping yee', hehe!). i think they were having yum cha together. so, aunty wendy watched 7's morning news with me, read out by anne sanders, and when it was over, i tootled over for some lunch. i think today is an orange apron day, BTW. thanks to PIG mum who cooked me some pasta in soup, with lotsa bok choy, some carrots, and a few tiny pieces of tomato. aunty wendy gave me just a sprinkling of salt, and made me a cup of chocolate nesquik, too. then i read for awhile, aunty wendy took me to the bathroom once, then dearest dad and PIG mum returned. aunty wendy also kindly gave me a tiny BOOST chocolate bar, which i happily gobbled down with a glass of milk. of course, PIG mum had to steal both a nibble and a sip too. then, after aunty wendy left, PIG mum grabbed me and forced me to do 5 mins of hand exercises - mostly just lifting and the like. anyways, once the 5 mins was done, i tootled online. disturbing thing is, there doesn't seem to be anyone coming in to help us! but if no-one comes, PIG mum will HAVE to help me with my shower, coz i already skipped out on one yesterday! >< well, it's almost 4pm, i guess no one will come help us afterall. oh, i hope they could! ><
anyways, i hope everyone is enjoying their week, ok?
cheers,
em. ^^
P.S. am going for arvo tea now. time is now 4:15pm.
P.P.S. poop, no-one can come help mum and I this arvo. guess it's a barely lukewarm shower in store for me, while mum happily forces my left hand to do as much as possible.
P.P.P.S. also went for a stinky unspeakable. so thanks to PIG mum who helped me wipe. of course, she also had to force my poor left hand to help yank up my trousers, AFTER my right hand has already done a perfectly acceptable job. then she Forced me to walk the few steps over to wash and dry my right hand, b4 she happily Forced me to walk back to sparky. and you know how i said i was owed 3 1/2 hrs from last night? well, PIG mum already claims that i've been on for that long. i've no idea how she makes those calculations, but oh well. wil
l try to pop back on after dinner.
P.P.P.P.S. yup, have been showered - hairwash today. mum happily forced my left hand to scrub my right forearm, right upper arm, right armpit, left thigh, left calf and left foot somewhere between 130-180 times. i went for a quick tinkle afterwards, got redressed and switched back to sparky. actually, PIG mum first forced me to put on my own tee and jumper first. dear dad came home, then grandma - dad's mum - rang! i had a chat with her; such a disiciplined woman - she only plays mahjong on the weekends! :P haha
P.P.P.P.P.S. just a poem i wanted to share with everyone, from the program at the funeral of dr. clark's wife:
"you can shed tears because she has gone or you can smile because she has lived.
you can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back, or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.
your heart can be empty because you can't see her or you can be full of the love you shared.
you can turn your back on tomorrow and leave yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
you can remember her and only that she's gone, or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
you can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, or you can do what she'd want:smile, open your eyes, love and go on. " isn't that a beautiful poem? i think i want it for my funeral, too! but hey, i don't plan on dying until i'm 100, so there's a long wait ahead! who knows, the computer and the internet might be outdated by then! haha :p
P.P.P.P.P.P.S.*burp* am back from dinner now.rice tonight, three pieces of cauliflower, a little, yummy piece of chicken which i of course saved for last, and lotsa fish, courtesy of dear dad. actually, big kisses to him coz he shared with me the fat cheek meat of the fish, supposedly like the yummiest part of the fish. oh, and he gave me a mushroom, too. at first, i squwaked that mum's mushroom was bigger than mine, but then i noticed that hers was flatter than me. :P so all's fair. anyways, i washed down dinner with a yummy but unfortunately HEAVILY watered-down pear juice. then, thanks to PIG mum who took off my blue apron for me, and i tootled back online. dad came to stick my left arm high up in the walking frame, to stretch it, but he says i can take it out after 5 mins, which i've just done. anyways, me going to keep writing smelly's fic now. oh, and read a house one too. see yous all toms!
