easter monday post

happy easter everyone! how goes you all in the collection of easter eggs? i admit, i've only got 2 so far - but that's 1 better than last year!

just thought i'd blog about 2 happy events i was really happy to take part in!

1. MY BDAY PARTY: thias started at 5pm, meaning i was put down for a nap first. aunty catherine came first with lotsa food, and she even banished uncle calvin to go pick up pizza! haha ... anyways, guests: pole+ entire family, aunty a, wells, dr. chickenhump, chloe, smelly, janice, banana, joshels, cabbage,christy jie, b1, b2, beckiand murray. i made it a condition of entry that they had to take a photo with me, so they're coming soon!i got lotsa presents too! murray gave me season 3 of house (he gave me the receipt too, which was lucky coz i can now go get a refund coz aunty anne's family already got me a set!everyone combined to get me that cooking mama wii game, so i predict many fun hours of playing ahead! b1 and b2 were the BEST; they got me a lovely book full of INSULTS i can hardly wait to start practising on all the hospital staff! *innocent grin* here's what i do remember:

-have you considered getting those nostril hairs of yours patented?

-i'm so busy i don't even have time to ignore you

-are you sad or is your face upside down?

-plus many others!

cake was yummy choc chip cheesecake, of which i managed to nick two little slices. lots more photo taking ensues, e.g. the girls all going along the stairs and sending dr. chickenhump to take the photo.

oh, i almost forgot - i also got 2 christian books! one was from aunty katherine (janice's aunty/soccer dan's mum) and matt folded me this really nice origami bird thing. it must've taken him literally hours ... but thanks, matt!

2. dinner with uncle colbert's family!

well, uncle colbert had promised months back that we would go to fasta pasta for dinner near my bday, so on easter sunday, off we went!

i enjoyed the complimentary bread and butter, and thanks to mel who made me a really beautiful birthday card! sam has this really cool signature, lol.

i went for a lipton's lemon ice tea, aunty winnie went for a peach. order time! mel and sam both went for lasagne, mum had this creamy white pasta thing with chicken pieces, dad stuck with his tried and trusted spag bol (does anyone actually KNOW how to spell that word? not me. uncle colbert had sth with pine nuts in it (therefore, also not for me)while both aunty winnie and i had our beautiful fettucine cabonara. i sprinkled as much cheese i could get in, and when sam got uncle colbert to get him a rainbow swirl icecream, i did the same with dad, only choc mint chip so mum could eat it too (for some strange reason, she doesn't like rainbow swirl. beats me*shrugs*

so, here ends my recollection of 2 very happy events! unfortunately, after5 days off, it's back to the hospital for me. i guess i really need a good sleep tonight, or it's another3 nights of bad dreams and insomnia for me. *sigh* what can i say? life sucks, get used to it.

oh! almost forgot, but how cool is this? when i turned 21, baby mickey turned 6 months! and when he turns 1, i'll be 21 and 1/2! here's a photo of him, so cute - his hair sticks up and he's got the hugest eyeballs!

chloe also brought me some tofu flower which mum and i enjoyed the next day!

another thing stupid me forgot: pole's family gave me 2 goldfish for my bday! haveta remember to feed them tonight, but seeing as they're GOLD fish, i called them SILVER and BRONZE respectively. hehe, go me! oh, also gotta remember to feed them tonight!
