new years day post

and a very happy new year to you all! hope 2008 is even better for you then 2007 was!
as for me, my main new year's resolutions are to learn how to walk again, and to go back to uni. i'll be picking up my 3rd year,though i'm actually supposed to be 4th. dunno if i can start this semester or not, but i certainly hope next sem! i'd hate to be TWO years behing, especially seeing as it's a 5.75 year course!
well, miserable failure for this morning - me. i got up at 12:45, after a primary school friend of mine mum called to wish us a smashing 2008! breakfast was the starting to sound boring toast with cheese and tomato sauce. then, i got myself to the net while mum went out for shopping. i presume dad is taking a nap, even though the tv's not on. so, unless he's staring outside at the garden he so recently decimated, he's sleeping. uncle wallace the OT will be popping over soon, so more hard work ahead. ah well, as you all know, no pain, no gain.
ok, uncle wallace the OT is here, so i have to scram!

new years eve post

*yawns*sorry, there's only an hour and 46 mins to go, but dorky wafflebutt is so sleepy already! i'm determined to last, though, i'll tell you about my success tomorrow!
well breakfast was the same old bread, cheese and tomato sauce. dad came back soon after a lunch of fried rice (though i really don't remember eating it!) and we set off to carindale for some new years eve shopping! i was very happy because i picked up the newest westlife CD(yes, i am a diehard westlife fan; anyone else?), but dad was happier coz he picked up shrek2 on dvd! but, in the end, i was happiest coz mum got a single icecream cone for all of us to share - my favourite cookies and cream!^^ back home, i was put down for a short nap before a shower and then we headed off to church for a luncheon dinner! (but seeing as it's the night meal, shouldn't it be called 'dincheon'? lol, beats me.
we left early(just as they started the sharing), and got home. i was still hungry, so mum chopped up a nashi pear for me. then grandma called, so i talked to her and aunty nga. gosh, though, but mickey is a squawky baby!
anyways, more exercises with mum, then i popped on the net - but boo hoo, both my computer and the laptop internet is down. stupid things. >< anyways, got on long enough to be posting in blog, but still no email tonight. oh well, but fingers crossed for some naruto watching!
anyways, wishing everyone and their respective families a very happy new year! just a last joke though: you know how our PM advertised himself as kevin 07? well, i voted for poor mr. howard, so this is how i think of mr. rudd for next year: i hate kevin 08. haha! but i might need some help for that!

weekend post 6

yo! me again.
this morning was rather uneventful - i needed to go pee but mum just insisted i get up. so i did, not before i squeezed 5 more mins of sleep first!
well, breakfast was milk, toast, cheese and tomato sauce (btw, is it the americans that call it 'ketchup'?) followed by more exercises - my LIFE is exercises ... someone save me!
lunch was rice and desert was an incredible lindt chocolate from aunty a as an xmas present^^
uncle colbert soon happened over and we did a pt session. the usual standing and walking. i forgot how many tiles today though, sorry. now i'm plopped on the net, dad is out playing baddy, and mum is replying sms with my poor already broken phone.
well, this is my last week of holidays! let's hope it's a good one!

weekend post 5

and yes, dorky wafflebutt popped online again. my dad, poor old goober wafflebutt, is teaching my mum, dorky chuckledunking, the finer aspects of the wii, but mum is a terrible driver. honest.
well, this morning i had raisin toast for breakfast. uncle wallace soon showed up with a soft spiky ball for an OT session. we paused for morning tea - me ahot milo, him a cup of coffee (the 2nd for the day). mum came back after i was showed off as a standing and walking gunea pig(is that actually how you spell the word? to uncle wallace, and we all had chicken and corn maggi noodles for lunch.
so, i'm blogging right now, dad is trying to teach poor mum how to drive (with apparently NO success whatsoever, and i think janice the jellybelly will be coming over with more food! ah, but my tummy is a happy one.

holiday post 5

dorky wafflebutt bids everyone a very warm greeting! mr. sloopy chickenhump is over too, and i was showed off as a gunea pig by having to stand and walk. *yawns.* tired now.
well, this morning was a breakfast of toast and leftover turkey; only, how much better would it have been if there was cheese too! and hey, do you asains know turkey in canto is 'fire chicken'?
so, chloe and vince came visiting, and so i scoffed a quick lunch of my favourite sausage bread. ^^
anyways, i'm now plopped on the net, mum and vince are giving the wii a play, and dad is out gardening, well, hacking to death two plants that just grew too big.
lastly, but not leastly, mum's extended a dinner invite to vince and he's accepted. i wonder how his real cooking skills are .....
well, my awesome holidays are almost half over! :( but never worry, i could just say i've still got galf to go.

*yawns*
well it's 2:37 pm, and i admit, i've only been up for an hour!
anyways, yesterday was boxing day, and that's right, my mum's b'day! we went to garden city for our post christmas shopping.
came home, and plopped down for a nap while parents prepared for party at night.
guests were: aunty a, uncle wallace, uncle stephen and anna, uncle tyrone, uncle cecil's family, ronnie, sylvia and ching and uncle yuk tai's famikly. should be 17 all up, if i counted correctly. dinner was a whole assortment of food, plus dad's yummy beef soup. i got to play santa and give out presents. photos coming soon, i promise!
so, what i got for xmas : aunty alice and uncle barry gave me 1000 paper cranes (you know, the story goes it helps someone get better), i got a teddy from uncle wallace (i called him wallace bear until i saw he already had a name tag on, so he became baxter wallace bear), mrs dent gave me an ipod nano, and my parents got me casino royale (the newest james bond movie), and house season 2 on dvd.
i gave mum her photo frame, and dad his goldfish on a scroll! i think they liked. ^^
then we all munched yummy bday cheesecake, and i plopped myself to bed, of course, remembering i sang happy birthday to mum at 2:30am!

holiday post THREE

DORKY WAFFLEBUTT is all confused :( THE NUMBERS ON MY KEyboard have all died :"( and the caps lock button is playing up too:(
anyways, lunch was aunty alice's delicious dumplings, and then afterwards, aunty po yee, uncle chi wah, ying and lik all came to visit! :d we toughed it out on the wii - i'm very proud to say i trounced aunty po yee at the tennis, and trumped uncle chi wah at the boxing.
ying was great and downloaded a whole assortment of anime to watch, so i predict many happy hours ahead. mum and i are currently listening to jacky crooning out onr of his songs in mandarin. just a quesyion though, cantonese is often referred to as canto, does mandarin get stuck with mando?

holiday post 1

in my defence to vincent (see comments for the previous post), in my defence, my posts should all be numbered correctly, from one upwards (pokes tongue at dr. lee).
now ... wishing everyone a very merry christmas eve! i'm not as good as some of you, i admit i'll be going to bed way before midnight!
today ... i woke up, ate breakfast (good ol bread, cheese and tomato sauce), and then practised writing with my parents the correct pen grip nazis keeping watch. lunch was bread, egg and beef (though dad added tomato) and yummy tartare sauce for me, aunty 'big jo' (jason's mum) came and visited and i took a nap ... all the way till dinnertime! afterwards, twas a shower and i'm now plonked on the computer, hair wet, but am sleepy and want bed. hope santa remembers to come visit my house tonight! i've only got 2 things on my wishlist : house md season 2 on dvd, and a teddy bear. i almost forgot! i have a new teddy! everbody, meet 'jimmy', he's a big adorable puppy given to me by jim! awwwwww, so cute. ^^

yo! dorky wafflebutt here.
today was not too bad, actually. mum went to work, i slept. uncle wallace rang and said he couldn't come, so i finally got up to a breakfast of bread, cheese and tomato sauce. vincentthe physio popped over, and we did a session. lunch was chicken and corn maggi noodles, after which janice came to visit! but she left to go shopping with wilfred (for lack of a much better name henceforth banned) to make berrymisu! i trust they won't put any alocohol in it!*punchdrunk em grins.*)
janice's visit was proceeded by more sleeping! until, well, i admit, dinnrttime. i did get up eventully, though, so not THAT much of a piggy!
had dinner, am popped on net now, must still send an xms card or two before i go to bed. oh, and plus a shower too, i can't forget! stinky em is no good ... hehe

i'm FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
ahem. what i MEANT to say is that i now am on holidays! for 2 weeks, which really is peewee when compared to the 3 months you unibums get, but still, hospitalised beggars can't be choosers :P
this week really quite uneventful, just lotsa xmas card giving. i handed out to; sammy, amy, shauna, starlet, linda (and got one in return^^), orli, tomtom, andy, megan, kate, jo, janelle, bob, helen, all the biru physios, all the biru nurses, habib, boss, dr. hazelton, dr, mcleod, and uncle wilbur (aka dr. chan). i think that's most of them, but still quite a lot!
me and sparky had a good week; we didn't crash into as many things. i also gave a card to carol and wally and his family^^ speaking of wally, liam came to visit him during the week and i left with himn my maccas order with a cheeseburger, no pickles. hope i can get it! also told ching that he'd better get my mum a cake for her b'day, but i'm not holding out any hope! haha
finally, in OT with kat ( even though KATE is my official OT, we made presents! kat helped me make a photo frame for mum, and a fish on a scroll for dad! i hope they like ... hehe.
well i guess that's all from me this week, i'm just happy to be home!

dorky wafflebutt posting twice in one day ... hehe.
well, aunty winnie came with sam, mel and nadia, while aunty susan (argh, why do i keep forgetting her name?) trundled in with izzy, jordan and jayden.we did a session, including moving the blue cups, and a go on the standing frame - we walked 8 tile lenghts today! maybe it'll be 9 next week :) afterwards ... oh, the happiness! aunty winnie had a donut machine and we made a whole batch! i ate quite a few, but we made sure to leave a whole pile for dad, too. he's just playing badminton now, after going to dora's grandma's funeral. pray for them, please. i managed to beg jayden for a kiss when they left - he only would blow me one first! but i got one in the end - and a hug too! am very happy. :) we waited awhile for nadia's mum - aunty michelle - to pick her up. am just on the net now, blogging and chatting to letty on msn. she likes lamb kebabs!

dug up, fed a breakfast of bread, cheese and tomato sauce, then we all trundled off to church! speaker today was anne wan, and i gotta say i did very good for myself - after memorising a memory verse, i won myself a whole pack of cherry ripes! even though there's only like 2 left now, i gave them out to other hungry people. lunch was a yummy kebab at foodcourt - better still, mum promises kfc and a chocolate with pearl next week! i'm excited.
so, came back home, (oh, forgot to add, mum just renegaded on her promise ; apparently she never actually said it ... sigh. such is life. that's ok. now though, dearly beloved mum is having a laugh at me. oh well, tis to be expected.
so settled down for a nap, eventually got up to the loo, then plonked on the computer. am talking to jim, i mean, was, he got booted off or sth.
so, i think aunty winnie's coming over sometime, and we're doing some cooking! i trust we won't blow the house up ... *sheepish grin*

hm ... so a sleepy dorky wafflebutt was dug up this morning, fed a very nice breakfast of ham and eggs, before waiting for uncle wallace the OT to come.he came, bearing VERY welcome chocolates as an xmas present, and we did a session, mainly using the left hand and theraputty.
vincent the physio rang and said he couldn't make it, so mum's threatening her own brand of exercises. ah well, que sera sera, or however it is ... yeah ... such is life. anyway, lunch was rice and mince meat, plus one of uncle wallace's fancy chocolate. yuuum. mum gobbled one up too.christy jie came to visit afterwards, and we made a bracelet for mum, we also ate arvo tea of cheese and ketchup on bread and christy jie's chocolate milk.
well dad's just ordered shower, so i'm off! see most of you at church toms!

weekend post 3?

hmm ... another week is over ... no disasters to report this week, thank the heavens. (and off the topic, me and sparky (my electric wheelchair's name) had a pretty normal week, no major disasters, phew. highlight of the week was our christmas party on wednesday, our santa for the day was jim cleveland, while his wife monica was, (well how she calls it anyway) an 'evil elf'. santa got me TWO presents (ha i is a good girl!), which when unrapped were 2 very nice bags. ^^ also admit i ate a lot - mini meat pie, mini sausage roll, aunty anne's fried rice, a slice of cheesecake, two servings of pavlova, ham, and potato salad. therefore i admit i only nibbled at my dinner that night. i was too full to wolf down anotheer neal! of course though, i made sure i had ice-cream - after all, wednesday's my only day for it! the downside to the otherwise good week was that jo my speechie gave me LOTS of xmas homework coz she's on hols all of next week, i remembered to write and give her a xmas card though :) or is it AN xmas card, not A? nothing much else to report, excepti had a bit of a biff with the nurses on how much equal i get on my cornflakes. one silly nurse insists it's just one, another more sensible nurse rings dad and finds out the fact that it is indeed two. ha to the silly nurse of biru. on a less brighter note, relations still not going well with lee the monkey boy. he still calls me 'dumbdumbdumbdumbdumb' whenever he sees me, but i finally found some ammunition against him by asking, "lee, did you even GET an OP? don't call others dumb when you can't even DO the subjects needed for an OP." i mean, who is the dumb one here? certainly not me .....
well, it's just one more week at this crazy place before i get a week or 2 of holidays! am very excited^^
need to write christmas cards to a few therapists and patients, but will do them toms. so, for the time being, that's all from dorky wafflebutt for now. have a good weekend, peoples, come visit me, and if you see alex or boris remind them i am pleading for kfc or red rooster again!

sunday afternoon post

yup, dorky wafflebutt back to pester everyone again! *cheeky grin*so thisarvo, was visited by a lot of professionals! aunty winnie the ot, uncle colbert the pt, and uncle yuk tai the physio - in - training!oh, and all their respective kiddos and friends of the kiddos: samuel, jordan, and ivan.
we had a session which included walking, kneeling, and various hand exercises. that was followed by a yummy afternoon tea of those pancakes with filling - mine had custard-^^ and a cup of milo. we had a chat, and then they all left. dad went to play badminton, and mum is eating some odd melon - but it tastes quite good!

yah ... stupid me, let's try take 2:
well me had a bad night, coz 1. i pooped my pants TWICE (oh, the shame) and 2. both me and mum missed church AGAIN coz we were being big and little piggies. (me is the lil one, of course :P)
so dad toddled off by himself to church (and janice the jellybelly - sorry, jellybean*innocent grin* asked after us, and he brought back the very welcome lunch of a kebab! complete with cheese and pineapple and everything. yuum. well, did some exercises afterwards so i could go on the net, but trust dad to renegade on his promise and refuse me. oh well. such is life *sigh* anyways, mum's pooped me on, and i still got 3 mins till work starts again. uncle colbert and uncle yuk tai are here :)

my teddies

hey! well dorky wafflebutt is back here to annoy you all, this time with a list of all my teddies! here we go :
BEAR BEAR: my absolutest most loved teddy. i got him in grade 2, so he'll be a teenager next year!
GIANT: aptly named coz he's 90cm tall (bear bear is only 40), i love the big smile on his face most of all.
WOMBIE: my fat lil wombat, i'm very grateful to my grandma for patching him up after he fell ill, full of holes!
MILO: the little doberman puppy who has holes between his ears, i love him lots ^^
MANGO: my brightly coloured ducky with a big rainbow ribbon and his bum feels funny! stuffed with beanbag balls, i imagine.
HERCULES:trust big dan to give my other ducky a name like this! but yup, big dan gave me hercules while i was in hospital.
VICTOR: he was given to me by aunty vicky, and aptly named coz her husband's name is victor!
COUSIN: she's especially cute, coz she's got a loveheart on each footpaw! given to me by my two cousins from hk, carrie and karry. haha, really!
SUNBURNT: to be honest i can't recall who gave me this little red devil, but he's quite a character, neh?
DAPHNE: my newest additiom to the family! a cute lil penguin, given to me by mum's workmate!
SMELLY FEET: i should be more polite; happy feet comes from my ekka showbag!
MONTY: is a platypus, given to me by my mum while i was still in primary school. ah, the good ol' days..
MR. CHINA: i kept thinking he was mr. panda, i got him from mrs emu (pronounced 'aye-mu', my grade 8 geography teacher. the name is such coz he wears traditional chinese garb.
JOSH BEAR: given to me by josh meggs when i was waiting in hospital for my ot day, he's a cute lil bloke.
BLUE BEAR: thisone is from mum when i graduated year 12
ME2YOU BEAR BEAR: well i've got 3: one from all the kids from church for my 19th b'day, one from pole when i was waiting for my ot, and one from the 3 chow sisters when i was in 2c.
JOANNE YEUNG: a point to all those who can speak canto and know what 'yeung' means. this one was from joey, pole's little sis, after i had my first operation and could still talk.
BLUE: my blue's clues doggie, bought from dreamworld, given to me by lil boy chris. thanks!
MCDONDON and MCDULL:two cute dolls we got in 2005 as we walking in hk at the new years festival parade in hk.
ASHTON: a cute floppy puppy mum bought for me at the hyperdome post office
DIGBY: the same type of floppy puppy like ashton which i picked up at the sunnybank plaza newsagency.

yo... dorky wafflebutt here again ... after a very nice lunch of chicken and corn maggi noodles with egg and ham, i was very happy to have christy 'jie' and daniel (the quiet one) come to visit me! (now don't tell her that or i shall be hitted again for calling her jie. and she hits very hard! poor emmy.....)well after nagging them to comment on my blog, we went to tough it out on the wii. tennis was good fun; boxing even more so, coz i laid christy jie out on the mat while dad did exactly the same thing to quiet dan. just wondering, though, if quiet dan is small dan, what's big dan called? muscular dan? hehe.
well, christy jie had to go teach piano, so they left, and mum got up to gimme afternoon tea. toast with cheese and tomato sauce. gosh, but i miss the mealtimes with real tea!

hungry dorky wafflebutt here!
first things first: this week was nothing special, especially since house has finished for the season *pouts* the best thing about this week though ... *drumroll* i got an ELECTRIC WHEELCHAIR! my physio said i passed my l plates and that i was now a p plater. the best thing is, i can take myself to all my appointments! but, i admit, i'm not very good with taking myself to the loo yet^"^" too many clipped doors.
anyways, the physio's here, so i'll finish this post when we're done and have gobbled lunch! ja mata!
dorky wafflebutt makes a re-entrance *burps* twas a very good lunch indeed. a cup of milk, one chicken and corn flavoured maggi noodles with ham and eggs. yuuum so, in the morning, uncle wallace the physio came and we did an ot session mainly concentrating on my left hand. he told us he tried to ask my ot about my therapy, but that she just invoked the patient confidentiality clause.funny thing, though, the ot told me she couldn't get his last name. fair enough, his last name is liu, after all.
well, dad's just got off the phone, and says that christy jie and dan are coming over. i presumed it's big dan, but actually it's sma ll dan! well they'll be here in half an hour, so i guess the nap is somewhat postponed.

yeah, well dorky wafflebutt is an idiot.
so, today, i managed to oversleep church by a good two hours! my only defence? so did mum. ha. poor dad, though..... ah well.
breakfast/brunch consisted of a slice of bread with cheese and tomato sauce, followed by exercise. that was followed by a shower, but mum promised me first that i could go on the net afterwards. to my szurprise? after shower, "no internet"n says mum.i told her lying is a sin, not that she listens. so i got put to bed for a nap, then it was lunch time! yummy noodles from aunty vicky - followed by a visit by no less than THREE ot's - uncle colbert, uncle wallace and aunty winnie- and two kids - jordan and samuel. we did some standing and walking, while the boys had a go with my new wii. ate afternoon tea too, which was exactly the same as breakfast. they're all still here, but they're just chit chatting now, while i surf the net.
back to dreary hospital life toms.
remember my requests for food, peoples! red rooster, kfc or tomato flavoured maggi noodles!

☺aah look at my smiley face. isn't it cute?
well sat arvo: as said, polecame over, but we didn't get anywhere, coz we had a great time trying to play the wii!☺ pole flogged me in the shooting, tennis, and so many other games. i only managed to hold my own in the air hockey. we all failed miserably at the snooker, though, and we didn't get to try the cow racing. what a shame, it would've been fun. moo! pole left, and was replaced by uncle calvin, who shared my afternoon tea of bread and a drink - tea for him, milk for me. matthew's gone to an end of school year celebration. dad's threatened exercises at 5. 6 mins to go!

yaaah ... sleepy dorky wafflebutt here.
slept all morning, dug up when mum got home from work and ate a brunch of chicken and corn maggi noodles. already hungry again, though. must ask dad for more edibles, seeing as mum has gone to snoozeland.
am on the net now, talking to letty. pole's coming over now, earlier than she first intended coz i think she has some sort of meeting to go to. lookee, dad's off the phone now.
funny thing though, when i talked to pole on the phone last night, i was sure she'd come by 34 o'clock. oh dear. obviously my memory is a LOT worse than i'd imagined (hoped.).
well that's all from me this fine saturday. read peoples, and comment. and anyone who can bring me kfc, red rooster, a kebab or a pack of tomato maggi noodles shall be met with lotsa hugs!

weekend post

yaaah... it's dorky wafflebutt here. not much to report, really. except that the house season is finished and i no longer have anything to watch *pout* this week was wholly unremarkable, the usual lot of therapiesand the same meals every week. i mean, every monday is chicken salad, and every week we will at least eat once of quiche, once of lasagne, and once of vegetable bake. ah well. annoying thing of the week though, one morning i was stupid enough to pee my pants, and starlet the nurse was stupid enough to accuse me of doing it on PURPOSE. i mean, who in their right MIND would CHOOSE to pee themselves delibrately? beats me. seriously can't think of anything to report for this week. except that i was peeved house season 2 ended. i like that show! speaking of season 2, that's all i want for christmas! santa, you listening?
right, am devoid of anything left to say, so will cut it short here. have a good week, everyone, see most of you on sunday! remember to read and comment!

well dad came back from badminton with quite a surprise for me - an early christmas pressie from uncle chi wah and aunty po yee!and ouchies, it didn't come cheap... they got me *drumroll* a NINTENDO WII!!!!!!!!!!!!!i mean, we're at least talking a couple of hundred bucks here! well i sure can't wait to play... i wonder if it came with a game...
mum say oh, woo hoo!!!!!!!! mario party 8! i predict many fun hours ahead... hehe so much fun^^

oh lookee, it'sa sunday!

oops, blame my jar jar binks skill with a keyboard. 2nd time lucky!
had church this morning, where the speaker was liam. i like him!
church over, we headed off for lunch at the hyperdome where i got some much craved for kfc, even though i only got 1/4 before my parents gobbled it all up! ah well. life's tough; get used to it. the call still goes out to anyone willing to bring me kfc or red rooster for lunch or dinner! back home, we all settled (well dunno about dad) down for a nap; dad soon left to go play baddy. we eventually got up, where mum fed me an afternoon tea of milo, and now here i am on the net!
well that's really all about it from me - oh, wait! i forgot - after lunch, we headed off to big w, where we bumped into mrs. amos, cassie's mum! it was great to see her!

my saturday: dad dug me up at some ungodly hour of the morning, but made up for it by feeding me a breakfast of dumplings from leanne's mum. m, my favourite, thanks. the physio came soon after and we did a session, ending with me walking to the loo. uncle stephen is over too, and we haveta remember to go vote later. i'm gpoing for johnny howard again, mum (and therefore very likely, dad) are all for kevin 07. oh well.
anyways, tis just a small post coz we're leaving to vote now! i'll come back and do my baby cousin's ridiculous name. tata!

well now that i've had a massage from the physio and have had dinner, i thought i might introduce you to the people i live with!^^
CAROL: last name WOODS, she's a very nice lady who has a daughter that just finished year 12 and wants to do law like me!
TINA: last name WILSHIER, she shares a room with me. a bit on the self-righteous side, but oh well.
LEE: no idea what his last name is, but we don't like each other very much. he calls me 'dumb', i call him 'monkey boy', coz he always repeats what he says heaps.
ROBERT: last name ORLIK, he's the scary guy that takes a massive THREE sugars with his coffee. often accuses me of 'eating' my book (my head is too close to it), he was the nice guy who lent me the 2nd pirates of the carribean movie. never gets up for breakfast, i wonder how late he sleeps at night.
SHELLAY: dunno her last name, but she's a lil on the kooky side. just the other day, i heard her ask a nurse how many points she needs to get out of here.
JULIE:dunno her last name either, but she's just left. has a whopping EIGHT kids. woah, what a woman.
BILLY: mr. BOYD-BUSH is just out of the hospital, and he got in coz he got punched in the head at a party. we often had speech together, where we had much fun ganging up on our poor speech therapist by saying that every activity was (a) too hard, (b) too boring, and (c) she can go play it herself. *hehe* he's only in grade 12 next year, i think.
WALLY: sorry, dunno his last name either, i think he's got 3 daughters. the song instantly comes to mind, and he knows liam too!
oh dear, i obviously have no memory coz i can remember no more people, but there's one more girl that's nice and once got me a cup of water to drink and another time got me some magazines to read.
MITCH: ooh thanks to mum for remembering him, this is the old fellow who doesn't eat a lot (in fact, he regularly refuses to eat at all)
ALLAN: dunno if he's actually left or sth, but this is the very cool guy who just ate FIVE slices of bread for breakfast, all with the yucky vegemite. eew.
hmm... that's truly the best i can do. i'd ask mum, but she's on the phone to my aunty from hk, the mum of mickey!

week goodness knows how many (aka weekend update)

heylo everyone!
firstly, dorky wafflebutt would like to laugh at dr. lee, aka vince - coz his name's much worse than mine - SLOOPY CHICKENHUMP. ha.
well, another boring week to report. i got a new physio, liz, who's nice. she makes great tea, too! mickey the physio was cool, too (apart from the fact she regularly works me to tears ) :( she was cool coz this monday, she took me to visit polly the pleb boss! a reminder to all that i'm pink the pleb, dad is paul the pleb, and mum is platypus the pleb. lol.
seriously nothing nothing of any noteworthy mention this week. endless pt, st, ot, and even np this week! a hug to anyone who knows what they ALL stand for. honestly cannot think of anything else to say, so i'll cut it short. guys, as always : please read and comment! and anyone who can bring me kfc or red rooster for lunch or dinner gets another big hug. ^^
one final mention - my cute lil baby cousin - now all of a big TWO months, is having a sulk coz no-one has commented on just how cute he is! come on, peoples..........

Sunday stuff

Heylo everyone! It's em's mum here. Since em has asked me to write down what she did on Sunday(18/11) for her. Sunday afternoon auntie winnie and samuel came to visit em. Samuel brought his northshore homework with him to keep himself occupied. Auntie winnie taught em to do a new hand exercise-use her right hand to help left hand to hold a plastic cup to reach my lifted hands. After that em continued to work on something that she tried to make for leanne as a b'day present -the hard part was auntie winnie only allowed her to use her right thumb and index to finish it. Then em had to do three mins "skateboard" activity to exercise her left arm, and thanks to samuel-coz he was the time keeper for the activity.
sunday evening, em did a couple stand and walk a few steps with our assistance. So, finally this poor girl could have the dumpling she likes for dinner-that's leanne's mums dumpling :0)
I guess that's all. A big thank you for those out here who've been supportive and encouraging her all the way through!

the usual OT, PT and ST. also saw the neuro psych too, oh yeah, that's right! i forgot, two members of staff:
NEIL: she's the neuro psych, who i love calli ng 'miss penguin' it's close enough after all, her real last name is 'peegum'
HABIB:this is the man who keeps us all well fed!i think he told me he was from nigeria ... or hopefully somewhere close by^^
so here's a funny story involving habib and orli the nurse: one day, during a mealtime, orli walks up to me and goes, "hey emily, you know what? habib is osama bin laden's elder brother."
i cry a scandalised "orli!"but cool and calm habib just replied without missing a beat, "yeah, and you know that when the terrorists come, they're going to kill you first. "
i laughed at orli, and what's even better, a nurse taught me how to say 'mata ba ka", which in filipino (orli's language) means 'you are fat'. she also told me orli was working fri afternoon, so i took great pleasure yelling it at him as we left. *innocent grin* let's just say, he wasn't pleased.
well that's the end of my boring week. hope evryone enjoyed themselves and kept cool under pressure!

well howdy all!

hope you all had as good a sunday as i did! church first (and i hope you can all help me here coz i can never remember the sermons!)afterwards, we headed off to the new calamvale central, where we had lunch of a chicken ceasar salad and a shake and dog.

ok, hope you guys can see my photos! one is with monica, a patient's who has already managed to escape the hospital, the other one is of me and b1! (who, for some strange reason, prefers to be known as schmeep!)

anyways, i promise to put up some photos of my baby cousin mickey soon

after, we plodded off to big w, where i picked up two brand new books! very cheap :)

came back home, slept, woke up, had some bread, talked to my aunty on the phone, then came on! am going to try post some photos up - of my oh so cute baby cousin (but never fear, coz grandma says I was cuter^^

hello all ye merry peoples on this lovely saturday!
well, mum had to work this morning, so i had a nice sleep until she came back. i presume dad was doing some work in the garden, garage, or wherever dads can find to do on these weekends. nothing ddramatic happened (read, thankfully, no falling out of bed), and mum came home in time for lunch and then the physio came. we did a session, then i had my breakfast/lunch of a yumy sausage bun and a glass of milk. yum. they (meaning mum, dad and vincent the physio)also munched on peanuts, but you know i'm not allowed them (well i am, if i want to break out in some allergic reaction. i guess the good thing is that i won't die, i just get an itchy throat andswollen lips.anyways, physio's gone now, and mum and i are on the computer. mum's being the keyboard nazi (a hug to anyone who knows what that is!) and dad's headed off to go swimming.

one and two and three and four!

a big hello to you all!
well i've just been fattened up with a yummy dinner, so i thought i'd show all you bored peoples exactly just what it is i do for exercise, seeing as i don't walk yet. (let's be honest here - surely you wonderful people wouldn't be reading this if you had ANYTHING else to do.
1. kicking - i get to kick up at a parent's hand. don't worry, i always miss!
squishing - basically that's pulling the two knees together. it's hard for me coz i've got a bung left knee.
lifting - that's where i lift the palm of my hand (which is facing up). well technically, it's the wrist that goes up.
sitting straight - well this one's self-explantory. i er, sit straight. :P head up, shoulders back.
stomping - i stomp on the two footplates.

twisting - where i flip my hand palm up, palm down, and repeat.
counting - my fisted hand pops out fingers one after the other.
stretching - left hand is to touch head or lift glasses.
standing- - this i must do with more confidence. knees back, shoulders back, head up, feet and heels both down, and most importantly? thou shalt NOT hang onto anything.
walking - this i graduated from three helpers to two. there are still rules involved, but oh well.
okies, that's all i can remember now, so wishing everone a great weekend and please pleaseplease comment.
stacking - nice and simple here - i get to stack cones. i admit though, i call it the FALLING tower of piza. or is it pisa? argh, but i'm sure you guys know what i mean. ^^
pushing - these poor lil beanbags. i just shove them off the edge with my left hand (and the right, when the physios aren't looking).
crawling - this one's hard, me no like. me gotta crawl on mats with knees. knees don't like and they're way not happy coz it hurts!

well i admit that's all i can remember, but i'll definetly put up a part 2 if i remember! (mum adds that there's definetly more, she's just mindblanked now too! hehe...

staff at the PA

well last time i introduced the nurses, so here's all the staff i know.
JEANELLE: this one's my PT, i call her jolly or jellybelly jeanelle. she suggests 'jackass' of all names, but i make sure i don't call her that! she's actually working as acting boss somewhere right now, but she came back to provide support for my nasty and ouchie botox injections.
KEVIN: this is the physio assistant, whom i call BOB, but it actually turns out that bob's his middle name!he's gone on long service leave right now, but promised he'd bring me a bucket on sand as a souvenir! i'm holding him to it!:P
JO: she's my speechie, and she's korean! even better than that, she feeds me milk when i have speech with her. yuuum. :)
KATE: stars as the OT, and gives me lotsa left hand exercise. she's nice, though. i want to cook breakfast in ot soon, i mean, the thought of bacon and eggs ..... *drools rd*
ALLISON: a social worker. don't see her too often, but she's nice and always available for a chat :)
DALE: not actually sure what she is, but she holds a patient group every now and again. i admit i try to escape it more often than not, but oh well. she talks too much.oh and mum says that she's the neuro psychologist.
RON: his first name is ron, and he's my doctor - very nice too!
JULIA: her last name's not gillard, but she was the nice (although nasty doctor who gave me the botox needles! :'( every time she or dr. hazelton asked me if i was ok, i said, "sorry, but i've fainted." go find the other entry in my blog to find out the dream i had the night after the rotten needles!
WILBUR: uncle wilbur isn't my doctor,but he's very nice and always says hi :0

yet another week at the PA

how has the study gone for everybody this week? hope you peoples actually picked up a textbook this week and flicked through it. ^^
my week... on the whole, very boring. oh, and before i forget, a big cheers to kwany for being the only one who commented! the rest of you ... *wibbles* seriously nothing to mention for this week, just endless physio, ot and speech. oh, and also talked to ms penguin too! so ok, her real last name is peegum, but penguin sounds cooler, yeah? and cheers to mr. lees for coming to visit me - he's my absentminded scienve and computers teacher in high school. but funny things first: (1) once he wrote down our work, then left the classroom. a student got up, changed the number of questions ((say, from 1-10 to 1-5.) teacher wandered back in, bell rang, so he looked at the board and said, "ok, homework tonight is q. 1-5" i did stay behind and tell him the truth, but he just laughed and let it be, saying it was his fault. and (2)after giving us our work, he wandered out. when he came back in, we had all turned our chairs to face the opposite direction! well, we reckoned it was funny, but he was Not. Impressed. and lucky last, (3). again the poor fella wandered outside. not content to miss the action, the whole class bolted. we watched gleefully as he returned, walked back into the class and - huh?! where are my students? oh well, poor man walks back out to find them (us). we all run back in, and when he returns, the poor man snaps, "where did you lot go? without permission, it's no leaving the classroom!" all innocent and angelic, we reply, "huh? but sir, we didn't go anywhere. it was you who went out, we just stayed and did the work we were supposed too." and this man is the one who had 30 (yes, eww, THIRTY) flies on his back during year 10 camp. gross.
well that's my week all over and done with. hope everyone has a great weekend, and, remember, no studying too hard! else you'll go blue in the brain...................

sunday stuff

well 2nd time lucky, blame my duddy skills with a mouse.
but, sunday : went to church, got a video sermon and saw vince playing guitar. after, went home until aunty catherine and uncle calvin came along, followed in no short order by aunty yvonne and jacinta, and aunty winnie and samuel. so did both pt and ot this arvo, very cool. dad was the coolest - he made me a skateboard i can use on the table with my hands! i hope i can decorate it soon!
last night i watched star wars 1 on tv. it was good, but i took a big problem with qui-gon dying. stupid darth maul.
ooh and i got an email from antartica! mum's boss went there to act as ship's doctor for six months. a lolly to whoever can tell me what polar medicine is! hint: it's not treating polar bears. :P

nurses at the PA

well heylo to all on a bright and merry saturday! how goes the swotting? :P(hope that's the right word)
well i thought i'd just introduce everyone to the wide range of nurses i know at the PA:
STARLET: well with a last name like perfect (i'm serious, here), how can you go wrong? i want a last name like that too!
AMY: she's cool too, only i can never tell her apart from the nurse called SAM. i told one of them (possibly sam), that she should start NIM - nurses in modelling, and she laughed.
LINDA: this one's my favourite. she's chinese too, her name is sth like jiaoe zhang. once when i woke up from a nightmare, she patted me back to sleep :)
SUE: this one's activities manager as well as nurse. i made a rock of my dad, but i asked for four eyes coz he wears glasses and she obliged. dad liked it, which was good ^^
JUDY: the one bad cookie out of them all. i have to threaten to call the police before she gives me my bell back and a pan.
ORLI: i dunno if his name is short for orlando, but i once made the mistake of teaching him how to say "your mother is very fat" in chinese" and he ran around gleefully telling everone, even linda (who, as i said earlier, speaks mandarin.
TOMTOM : well his name's actually just Tom, but he's ann all round nice nurse with a slightly squeaky voice.
KATHERINE: mum remembered her, but she's an all round nice nurse too. ?^"^
ROBIN: well i forgot but she's a very nice nurse too.
KESLEY: another one i forgot, another nice nurse who spreads my bread for me in the morning.
SUSIE: apparently that's not her real name, but she once showed me her daughter's formal photos. even funnier, she often threatens to tell the other nurses whether you were good or bad during the night.
DIANNE: a white haired nurse who nonetheless is very nice but i haven't seen recently... i wonder if she's on hols...
MEGAN : this one's tall with brown hair. nice, too.
ANDREW: can't believe i forgot handy pandy andy!another cool nurse.
Well that's all the nurses i can think of. i'll add more if i remember any.

yet another week.............. sigh. ><

greetings all ye merry people!
how went your study week? i trust you were all good boys and girls and DID at least open a textbook for a glance or two. ^^
well my week was another of the same old drugery *sigh* breakfast, therapies, lunch, therapies, dinner, shower, bed, repeat times 5. but on monday was one more added unpleasantess - *?drum roll ?* the botox injections. while i only got 3 (down from the 4 as first planned ), they still hurt a whopper!no crying on my part, though everytime dr. hazelton asked if i was ok (he's very nice), i said that sorry, i had fainted. ?*hehe* mum was the best, and took me for chups, gravy and hot chocolate afterwards :) that night, though, was weird. had a dream, that i DID faint, and the physio got me back conscious with asll things, a HOSE. i woke up, thought "damn. now i need a nurse to change me into dry stuff " and felt to see how wet i was. which was... 'huh? i'm all dry?" oh, what a dream... but yeah, twas amusing. mum had a good laugh.
on a slightly more peevish note, the treatment by the nurses is unacceptable. there's this one, judy, who's as nasty as anything and won't gimme a pan unless i threaten to call the police with my mobile. shhh, no telling that i don't acvtually carry one on me, thanks.
well mum says it's almost time to leave, so i had better get going! wish everyone a nice week, please reaed and comment! and most of all, good luck with your exams! eat chocolate and stay calm, you guys will be fine!

well the net stuffed up my first attempt to publish this, so second time lucky!
today, pole gave me what i call a very late bday present, but what she calls a very early christmas present. it's a game called bop it, and what you can do is bop it, pull it,twist it, spin it and flick it! it's quite a good game, me and pole got a high score of 37. good fun!

heylo one and all,
well i forgot to add in one thing, which was :
on saturday, when mum was at work, i was sleeping in bed,and , like all messy sleepers, i decided to roll to the left. which i did, but just a BIT too far - and promptly slid most of myself off the bed. so i did the only thing left to me - i SCREAMED blue murder for dad, who found it quite funny that his daughter was hanging half off the bed on the floor, but he very graciously hefted me back up. looking back on it, it's actually quite funny, just not at that particular time. oh well, hehe. have a nice week everyone! if you can, come visit, or if not just leave a comment. oh, and sorry, just remembered, it's exam time for you poor sods. well, good luck, and just remember that there's light at the end of the tunnel!

firstly, a huge big thanks to all who commented on my last entry! they are: pole, christy, catherine, charlsy, kwany, wells, fisobao, and i'm so sorry, i've forgotten the last one. well this week has been largely boring to death... nothing really doing. schedule is - breakfast at 7, lunch at 12, also tnhe time when mum gets to come in, dinner at 5, and the day is finished. oh go mum, she remembered the last one - leanne! so sorry i forgot you, especially snce you were the only one who visited me!also a big note of welcome to baby mickey fung! one month old, born to my mum's youngest sister. we are all so excited!on a different topic, please pray for me, because on monday i will be getting celebrity legs; that is to say, i'm getting botox injections... ugh. i HATE needles, but my physio assures me that if ido faint, she'll get a cloth and dab at my brow for me until i get up. :) although my physio will be going to act as acting boss in another department, while the physio assistant will be getting long service leave. hope they both havea nice time! on, and on a whingey point; smoky gave me this really nice pen to write with... and it got stolen the next day! big hmph. >< oh, and surprise of the day - while i was sleeping and mum was at work, super dad got the razor and gave himself one spiffing haircut! he looks good, it's just that it's really short!
righteo, me is sleepy now, so i'll be toddling off to the land of nod for some shuteye!

*?sigh*back to the drudgery of hospital life tomorrow *insert a few thousand more sighs *
but on the whole, this wekend hasn't been too bad, thanks. on Saturday, as i am wont to do, i slept, as mum went to work. i did get up afterwards, coz mum had a work meeting -see, i am not THAT bad. hehe,vincent the physio came and we did a session in the afternoon.then, sunday was church. my only problem is, i can never remember the sermons after they're delivered. oh dear >< aunty yvonne and aunty winnie came in the arvo, and while aunty yvonne helped me with my posture, aunty winnie helped me start painting a bday present for leanne ( i call her smelly! hehe) well dad's gone to badminton, and i'll be back at the stupid hospital by toms. :( ah well. righteo, cheerio.

hello hello hello again

i forgot to mention before that on wednesday my grade ten maths teacher visited me. he'd just come from the history trip to turkey, and he brought me back a delightful assortment of pressies - a bookmark, a t-shirt, an evil eye (a glass ornament that's supposed to ward off evil which i promptly broke but was reassured that i wouldn't suffer bad luck) , a bracelet, a necklace and a purse with a troy marking on it. i asked him if he'd eaten lotsa turkey, to which he replied, "no, just chicken. " he learnt how to say one and twenty in turkish, an 'on' is ten in turkish.
well sounds like a fascinating place, but i'll stick to australia, thanks. bye!

first things first - a big thankee to charlsy for being the only commenter to my last post; the rest of you, what are you waiting for? :P well, this week has been highly uneventful and ridiculously boring, the one highlight being when lams, bee and boris brought me red rooster. yum. :) thanks guys.had a family meeting this week, where i told them i wanted to stay until i could walk again. unfortunately, that might mean me staying until after the new year, which is definetly not a Good Thing. so guys, remember to tell me to work hard and plus oil until i am well and truly back onmy own two feet, not squashing the general population with my trippings. lol. another random point , i want kfc for lunch tomorrow. thanks.i admit, i've run out of intelligent things to say, except my favourite line inm hp and the ootp was when hermione said to ron, "just coz you've got the emotional range of a teaspoon!"lol, pole laughed so hard she swiped my pooor glasses off! hehe, oh dear.well, bidding all of you a 'please enjoy the remainder of your weekend, a 'come visit me' and a 'leave a comment!' muchly appreciated. well, toodles, i'm off.

weekend update

why heylo to peoples bored enough to read this!
it's been a pretty normal (read, boring) week, with the usual physio, occupational, speech and music therapies. what's worse - the choice (or lack thereof) of meals. when it's not chicken salad, it's beef, not beef, lamb, not lamb, egg and cheese. i'm surprised i don't have salad coming out of my ears!
well i'm more bored than a banshee, so if you find yourself with free ti mme on your hands, come and visit me! just ring my mum first, ok?

well greetings to anyone who reads this!
It's been a hectic few months, so i'd better explain from the beginninmg.

I woke up one march morninmg, was supposed to go to work but got the mother of all headaches and stayed puking in the toilet as mum called the ambulance. to our not very pleasant surprise scans showed i had a nasty brain tumour! oh dear. mum recalled dad back from hk and i had the operation to remove it out. side effects include some nasty ahort term memory loss and loss of all movement in my left arm and legh. it's been slow progress but i now can move them again, to some extent. huge thanks to everyone who came to visit me - twas much appreciated. today is the ekka holiday so i'm happily at home. mum's having a morning snooze and no idea what dad is doing, but oh well. i also get weekend leave, thankfully ^^ well that's about all from me so i'll see you whjen you decide to visit! hehe
